[Studies on chemical constituents of Sambucus adnata].

OBJECTIVE
To study the chemical constituents of Sambucus adnata.
METHODS
Compounds were isolated by silica gel chromatography. Their structures were elucidated by means of spectral analysis.
RESULTS
Five compounds were isolated and identified as: 1-(3-hydroxy4-methoxyphenyl)-1',2'-ethanediol (1), ursolic acid (2 ), 1-( 3,4,5 -trimethoxyphenyl) -1', 2'-ethanediol (3), lariciresinol (4), 5, 7, 3', 4'-tetramethoxyflavone-3-O-rhamnopyranosyl-(1 --> 6)-glucopyranoside(5).
CONCLUSIONS
Compounds 1, 3, 4 and 5 were obtained from this plant for the first time.
