This study will be a double blind randomized controlled parallel study

200 mg of Hydroxychloroquine orally three times daily for 10 days plus 500 mg of Nitazoxanide orally twice daily for 6 days

Standard care delivered in the COVID-19 isolation hospitals.

Both hydroxychloroquine & nitazoxanide will be administered orally to participating patients

Hydroxychloroquine plus Nitazoxanide

Oxygen administered via ventilator. In addition, antipyretic "paracetamol" may be added if necessary

Continuous variables to be assessed as: Post-operative oral pain score measured using 10 point visual analogue score for pain assessment (minimum 0 or no pain to maximum 10 most painful)

Continuous variable to be assessed as : Narcotics requested by the patient and administered post-procedural day 1 and day 2 (Total and separately assessed). All narcotics will be converted to IV morphine equianalgesic equivalent conversion factors according to American Pain Society

Event rate nominal variable to be assessed as: oral morbidity post-procedure categorized according to Clavien Dindo-Classification

Anaesthesia

receive intravenous injection of 0.2 mL/kg of saline 0.9%L [group P]. All study solutions were injected within 1 min at T0 after discontinuation of sevoflurane. No stimulation was applied to patients during this period.

Placebo [group P]

receive intravenous injection of 0.2 mL/kg of aminophylline 10 mg/mL [group A2]. All study solutions were injected within 1 min at T0 after discontinuation of sevoflurane. No stimulation was applied to patients during this period.

0.2 mL/kg of aminophylline 10 mg/mL [group A2]

receive intravenous injection of 0.2 mL/kg of aminophylline 15 mg/mL [group A3]. All study solutions were injected within 1 min at T0 after discontinuation of sevoflurane. No stimulation was applied to patients during this period.

0.2 mL/kg of aminophylline 15 mg/mL [group A3]

receive intravenous injection of 0.2 mL/kg of aminophylline 20 mg/mL [group A4]. All study solutions were injected within 1 min at T0 after discontinuation of sevoflurane. No stimulation was applied to patients during this period.
