OBJECTIVE
To report a case of pulmonary edema after local injection of vasopressin at laparoscopy.
METHODS
University teaching hospital.
METHODS
A 24-year-old woman who underwent a laparoscopic myomectomy.
METHODS
Injection of vasopressin (10 mL of 0.5 U/mL) into the uterine wall overlying the myoma.
RESULTS
Bradycardia, atrioventricular block, and pulmonary edema.
CONCLUSIONS
The use of vasopressin can be associated with severe cardiopulmonary complications.
