OBJECTIVE
To study the chemical constituents in the fruits of Schisandra sphenanthera.
METHODS
The constituents were isolated by their silica gel column, Sephadex LH-20 gel column, and their structures were elucidated by their chemical properties and spectroscopic analyses.
RESULTS
Twelve compounds
Lignans are imporant active ingredients of Schisandra sphenanthera. A micellar electrokinetic chromatography method was developed for the simultaneous determination of eight lignans--schizandrin, schisandrol B, schisantherin A, schisanhenol, anwulignan, deoxyschizandrin, schizandrin B and
Homogeneous ionic liquid microextraction (HILME) was developed for the extraction of schizandrin, schisantherin A and deoxyschizandrin from Schisandra chinensis and Schisandra sphenanthera. 1-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([C(4)MIM][BF(4)]) aqueous solution was used as extraction
Plants of the Schisandraceae family contain a variety of pharmacologically active lignans like schizandrin, deoxyschizandrin, deangeloylgomisin B, gomisin A, gomisin O, gamma-schizandrin and isogomisin O. Here we have compared the composition of different polar and non-polar extracts of Schisandra
OBJECTIVE
To determine the content of four lignans in the fruits of Schisandra sphenanthera, Schisandra grandiflora, Schisandra rubriflora and Schisandra propinqua subsp. sinensis.
METHODS
The HPLC separation was performed on Diamonsil C18 (150 mm x 4.6 mm, 5 microm) columm using methanol-water (70
The Schisandraceae family is reported to have a range of pharmacological activities, including anti-inflammatory effects. As with all herbal preparations, extracts of Schisandra species are mixtures composed of >50 lignans, especially schizandrins, deoxyschizandrins, and gomisins. In China,
Wuzhi capsule (WZC) is a preparation of an ethanol herbal extract of Schisandra sphenanthera (Nan-Wuweizi), with its main active ingredients that include schisandrin, schizandrol B, schisantherin A, schisanhenol, and deoxyschizandrin. WZC and tacrolimus are often coadministered for the treatment of
