OBJECTIVE
To demonstrate the chemical constituents of the fruits of Gardenia sootepensis.
METHODS
Column chromatographic technology was employed to separate the water soluble part, and the compounds obtained were elucidated by spectral and chemical analysis.
RESULTS
Ten compounds have been isolated,
A two-dimensional column-switching system without sample loop trapping, where two columns were switched directly via a six-port two-position switching valve, was successfully applied for the first time to the isolation and purification of six iridoid glycosides including geniposide, gardenoside,
Gardenia jasminoides fruit (GJF) is used as a well-known traditional folk medicine, a food and a natural colorant in Asia with a long history. The herbal medicine has usually been harvested in the autumn from September to November. However, this time span is too long and might result Gardeniae fructus is one of the most frequently used herbs in traditional Chinese medicine. In the present study, a process for the enrichment of six iridoid glycosides from Gardeniae fructus was developed using medium-pressure liquid chromatography combined with macroporous resin and reversed-phase
