Cytochrome P-450 epoxygenase-derived epoxyeicosatrienoic acids (EETs) play an important role in the regulation of vascular reactivity and function. Conversion to the corresponding dihydroxyeicosatrienoic acids (DHETs) by soluble epoxide hydrolases is thought to be the major pathway of EET metabolism
