Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is widely accepted for early gastric cancer However, technical difficulties still remain in lesions affected by the direction of gravity, which causes pooling of water, blood, and tiny resection fragments. The complications, such as bleeding and perforation, are often caused by low visibility in those lesions. In present study, we described first application of ESD under D-sorbitol solution, which is used as nonelectrolyte irrigation fluid for monopolar transurethral resection, in beagle model.
