Zoon Balanitis: misdiagnosis or missed diagnosis? Zoon balanitis (ZB) is a chronic inflammatory benign mucositis showing well-circumscribed orange red glazed areas on the glans (and sometimes the inside of the foreskin), with 'cayenne pepper spots' and a symmetrical distribution. Male genital dermatoses represent an oft-neglected domain. ZB deserves more attention, as its impact on quality of life of the affected patients might be considerable.
