The triterpenoid, bauerenol, from Suregada angustifolia (Baill. ex Muell.-Arg.) Airy Shaw (Euphorbiaceae) was screened for anti-cancer property using hepatocellular carcinoma cell line, HepG2. Bauerenol exhibited growth inhibitory and apoptosis inducing potential against HepG2 cancer cells.
