Solon is a synthetic isoprenyl flavonoid derived from sophoradin which is isolated from the root of an ancient Chinese plant. Solon was administered orally or intraperitoneally to rats. It inhibited dose dependently gastric ulcers produced by acidified aspirin, water immersion and restraint stress.
