A case of primary cutaneous hyalohyphomycosis in a healthy individual is presented. The initial clinical impression was keratoacanthoma or squamous cell carcinoma. Upon excision, the lesion proved to be an example of cutaneous hyalohyphomycosis due to an unidentified, non-pigmented fungal organism.
