Rationale: Neuro-endocrine neoplasms are a diverse group of tumors which encompasses heterogeneous clinical courses. Different NETs are characterized by differences in the synthesis, storage and release of biogenic amines and their metabolites, e.g. indoles, catecholamines and their metabolites.
