Helichrysum gymnocephalum is a flowering plant in the sunflower family (Asteraceae) found in Madagascar. It is used locally for its alleged aphrodisiac, antiseptic, and stimulant properties, and also as a treatment for bronchitis. The essential oil is sold internationally for these same purposes.
