Tamarix ramosissima Ledeb., a major host plant for the parasitic angiosperm Cistanche tubulosa, and known for its unique drought tolerance, has significant ecological and economic benefits. However, the mechanisms of nitrogen acquisition by the T. ramosissima root system under drought have remained
