The adenosine diphosphate (ADP)-ribosyltransferase, Vip2 (vegetative insecticidal protein), from Bacillus cereus in combination with another protein from the same organism, Vip1, has insecticidal activity against western corn rootworm larvae. The Vip2 protein exerts its intracellular poisoning
